What’s New at Jollybox? 6 Months of Exciting Toy Shop Updates
Our Jollybox journey since the start of 2025…
It’s been a busy and fun-packed six months here at Jollybox, and we’re excited to share our Jollybox 2025 updates with you! From building our sensory toy shop online to carefully curating a range of sensory toys that support development and bring joy to children across the UK, we’ve made huge progress. Alongside growing our shop, we’ve also been out and about in the community, visiting schools, joining in local events, and spreading smiles with the help of our friendly mascot, Sparky the Star. Whether online or in person, our mission has stayed the same: to make sensory play accessible, engaging, and full of wonder for every child.
Here are six major updates and events we’ve been involved with so far this year, each one marking an exciting step forward for Jollybox. From expanding our sensory toy range to launching community projects and spreading joy through school visits, it’s been a year full of meaningful progress and playful moments.
Jollybox’s first toy fair visit
Earlier this year, the Jollybox team had the fantastic opportunity to visit Kensington’s famous annual Toy Fair. It was a day packed with energy, excitement, and endless inspiration as we explored the latest trends, previewed some of the year’s most exciting new toys, and networked with passionate suppliers from across the industry. The event gave us a deeper insight into the world of toys – what’s new, what’s popular, and most importantly, what will bring the most joy to the children and families we serve. It was a valuable and fun-filled experience that’s helped shape our plans for the year ahead.
Looking forward, the knowledge and connections we gained at the Toy Fair will help us make even better choices when selecting products for our shop. It’s given us a clearer understanding of how to balance fun, function, and sensory value – so we can continue to provide toys that not only entertain but also support children’s development. We’re excited to bring these insights into our growing range and share even more thoughtful, high-quality sensory toys with our Jollybox community.
Cwazyleigh Collaboration
This year, we were thrilled to meet the talented team behind Cwazyleigh – first through LinkedIn and then in person at the Toy Fair. From our very first chats, we formed a strong bond over our shared passion for creativity, positivity, and supporting children’s development through playful learning. That connection quickly grew into an exciting collaboration – a brand-new range of reward charts combining Cwazyleigh’s fun and quirky alien characters with our very own Jollybox mascot, Sparky the Star. This partnership is a great example of our ongoing commitment to grow – to explore fresh ideas and work with others who share our values. We can’t wait to share these colourful, motivational charts with families and classrooms across the UK.
Looking ahead at Jollybox 2025 updates, this collaboration opens up new opportunities for Jollybox to expand our product range beyond toys – bringing more tools into the hands of parents, carers, and educators that support positive behaviour, emotional growth, and engagement. It also helps us reach new audiences who already love Cwazyleigh’s characters – while strengthening our brand as a fun, trusted resource for sensory and developmental support. This is just the beginning of a creative journey – and we’re excited to see where it takes us.
Celebrity charity football match sponsors
Jollybox is proud to be sponsors of the Sellebrity Soccer Charity Match in Redditch on 20th July – a special event raising vital funds for Birmingham’s Children’s Hospital in memory of Lucie Southall. This heart–warming match brings together celebrities, local heroes, and community members to support a cause that’s close to all our hearts. With over 50,000 children treated each year, the hospital plays a vital role in both medical care and emotional support for families across the region. By sponsoring the match, we’re standing in solidarity with those who need it most – and our mascot Sparky will be there on the day to cheer everyone on!
Jollybox will be there on the day – proudly supporting this incredible cause and cheering from the side lines with our much–loved mascot, Sparky the Star. We’ll be joining families, fans, and fellow supporters to help raise awareness and funds for Birmingham’s Children’s Hospital – a place that means so much to so many. Keep an eye out for Sparky – who’ll be spreading smiles, high–fives, and a bit of sparkle throughout the event.
SEN support in schools – star in Jollybox 2025 updates!
Earlier this year, the Jollybox team had the wonderful opportunity to visit Pitcheroak School – a specialist SEN school – where we ran fun, engaging activities and provided sensory toys for the children. Our mascot, Sparky the Star, joined us too – spreading smiles, high–fives, and a little bit of magic! It was a heart–warming experience and truly reflects what Jollybox is all about – creating meaningful moments through play, connection, and inclusivity. We’re proud to have been welcomed so warmly and hope to carry out many more visits like this in the future.
New website being developed
If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve landed on our new and improved website! We decided it was time to upgrade the old one – giving Jollybox a fresh look and making the entire experience much more user–friendly for our visitors.
This upgrade means smoother browsing, easier shopping, and a clearer view of everything Jollybox has to offer – from our sensory toys to exciting updates and community work. Looking ahead, it also gives us a stronger foundation to grow – allowing us to add new features, share more resources, and create a space that truly reflects who we are and what we stand for.
Lastly, Something to celebrate…
Jollybox win regional start-up of the year award in retail and e-commerce.
We’re thrilled to share some exciting news – Jollybox has officially won the Regional Start–Up of the Year Award in the Retail and E–Commerce category! After being nominated among some incredible businesses, we went head–to–head with other passionate and hard–working start–ups and proudly came out on top – taking home first place and a shiny trophy. The awards ceremony took place on 17th June and was a truly memorable moment for our small but growing team. It was a fantastic celebration of all the hard work, dedication, and community support that has gone into building Jollybox from the ground up.
But the journey doesn’t stop there – we’re now through to the National start up award Finals this September at ideas fest, where we’ll be representing our region and competing for the top spot across the UK. This recognition means so much to us – not just as a business, but as a team driven by a mission to make sensory play more accessible, engaging, and joyful for every child. We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come – and even more excited for what’s still to come.
Moving forward from Jollybox 2025 updates…
At Jollybox, we’re always moving forward – building a sensory toy store that’s rooted in care, creativity, and purpose. Every step we take is about growing thoughtfully – from expanding our product range to forming meaningful partnerships and supporting the community through fun, inclusive experiences. We’re committed to creating a trusted space for families, educators, and children to discover sensory toys that inspire development and joy. As we continue to grow – with new ideas, collaborations, and improvements – our focus remains the same – to make sensory play accessible, impactful, and full of heart.
